Sunday, November 17th, 1968 - NBC outrages football fans throughout the country by cutting away from the final moments of a game between the Oakland Raiders and the New York Jets in order to show the movie "Heidi". Viewers were deprived of seeing the Raiders come from behind to beat the Jets 43-32, and NBC's switchboard was swamped by thousands of irate callers.
